About the role

The Coordinator is responsible for the provision of leadership supervision and consultation to other staff students and volunteers in the team as well as ensuring high-quality case work and service support to young people transitioning from State care.

You will also need to:

• Provide a satisfactory current National Police Clearance
• A current Working with Children Card
• Demonstrate your understanding of child safe environment
• Provide a current WA C Class Drivers Licence

About you

The successful candidate will hold qualifications in human services or equivalent and demonstrate the following skills and experience:

• Proven relevant experience in working with young people preferably with those who have experienced the out of home care system
• Experience in leadership and supervision of staff students and volunteers
• Demonstrated ability to work with young people to develop independent life skills that are culturally and developmentally appropriate
• Training/experience in dealing with mental illness disabilities child protection domestic violence and/or substance abuse
