As part of the Community Safety and Support Services team youwill work with internal teams and external stakeholders to developpractical initiatives that respond to the Citys current and futurecommunity support service needs. You will support community groupsservice organisations and individuals to build capacity strengthenresilience and raise awareness through targeted trainingdevelopment of resources programs and events.

This role focuses on the community support services sector andincludes the portfolios of homelessness family and domesticviolence social isolation protective behaviours mental healthand alcohol and other drugs.

You are enthusiastic self-motivated and committed tostrengthening community resilience. You bring well-developedwritten and verbal communication skills and can work bothautonomously and as part of a team. Your strong administrationresearch and planning skills will support community-basedinitiatives and you are confident preparing funding submissionsmeasuring and communicating outcomes writing reports and managingcommunity-focused projects and events.

To be considered for this role you must address thefollowing essential selection criteria as part of your onlineapplication:

1. Degree in Community Development Social Science or related field or lesser formal qualifications with substantial years of relevant experience
2. Sound knowledge of community development principles theory and practice
3. Sound knowledge of issues related to vulnerable populations with a particular focus on homelessness and family and domestic violence
4. Extensive knowledge experience with and understanding of the Community Support Services sector
5. Experience in planning and facilitation of community events programs and workshops
6. Sound experienceidentifyingengagingand building capacity of community groups organisations and individuals
7. Current C class drivers licence and Western Australia Working with Children Check

We are offering a gross annual salary of $94367 perannum and:

• 12% superannuation with the option to co-contribute up to a further 5% - thats a total of 22%
