Community and Stakeholder Engagement Advisor - Water Infrastructure

About the Employer
Our client is an infrastructure engineering and construction contractor delivering transport civil and energy projects. Its teams work across design construction and project delivery in Australia.

The Opportunity
Build constructive community relationships around water infrastructure works in Sydneys northern suburbs. You will work with design and construction teams to reduce disruption communicate project impacts and keep community commitments visible in daily delivery.

Your Responsibilities
Implement engagement plans and identify public-impact risks early.
Prepare clear letters newsletters emails and other project communications.
Maintain proactive relationships with residents property owners and institutional stakeholders.
Record public enquiries and grievances and coordinate timely practical resolutions.
Work with construction teams to honour community commitments and support internal project communications.

Requirements
Skills Education and Requirements
A relevant tertiary qualification such as Communications or Public Relations.
Proven engagement experience in infrastructure engineering or civil construction.
Practical community and stakeholder outcomes on urban projects.
Understanding of community impacts from civil works particularly water infrastructure or road construction.
Ability to resolve difficult enquiries and conflicts with tact and sound judgement.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
