Civil Engineers

AECOM is seeking motivated and highly driven Civil or Senior Civil Engineers to join our Civil Infrastructure Team in the Gold Coast. The Civil Infrastructure Team supports a vast array of planning design and construction projects predominately related to development and infrastructure projects servicing Queensland ANZ and the Global business.

As part of this exciting role you will not only have the opportunity to perform technical Civil Engineering activities and delivery of infrastructure design solutions but you will also be encouraged and supported in identifying and pursuing new project opportunities learning new skill sets and for the right Senior engineering candidate mentoring and coaching a team of engineers.

Working with a high performing team of engineers designers and drafters with a passion for digital delivery you will support the team in delivering projects across a diverse range of infrastructure and development projects. Your role will focus on the core civil engineering discipline associated with roadworks stormwater drainage & flooding earthworks pavements water and sewerage infrastructure for key clients across Defence Transport Water Resources Mining Energy Water Infrastructure and Urban Development industries. You will also have the opportunity to collaborate with best-in-industry peers across our organisation to create whole-of-business success for projects.

How youll make a difference

• Planning and design of civil infrastructure; roads & transport stormwater assets (quantity and quality) services/utilities earthworks etc.
• Technical and non-technical report writing tailored to diverse audiences using clear and accessible language
• Positive collaborative approach working with a diverse team
• 2 to 8 years experience. More experienced candidates are also encouraged to apply for Senior Civil Engineer Positions
• Use of design standards and practices for civil infrastructure design (for example; QUDM Qld Main Roads MRTS & Road Drainage Manual & Standard Drawings IECA Erosion & Sediment Control Austroads QUU or Water Services Australia (WSA) Standards South-East Queensland Local Council Design Guidelines/Standards amongst others)

Demonstrated experience in the following is desirable:

• Detailed Design of Civil elements including Civil Arrangements Design Roadway/Carpark/Cycleway/Footpath Geometric Design Stormwater Pit and Pipe Design (using 12d Drainage Network Editor DRAINS or equivalent software) Stormwater Quality Assessment (using MUSIC software) PUP Conflict Assessment/Management Design Management and coordination of multi-disciplinary design inputs.
• Experience bidding winning and delivering Civil Infrastructure projects to a high standard within budget and on time.
• Commercial/contractual management of projects.
• Experience of project delivery under design only and design and construct delivery models.

Your ability to deliver on promises and to develop and maintain strong internal team and external client relationships will be keys to your success in this role.

• CPEng RPEQ (or be working towards or be eligible through a mutual recognition or other pathway)
