About the Role

This is a great opportunity to lead the growth and performance of our Casualty Business Unit across WA/SA. Youll be at the centre of driving profitable business building strong broker partnerships and helping shape the future of the team.

In this role you will:

  • Lead the Casualty units financial performance with responsibility for underwriting profit rate and loss ratio targets and overall budget delivery.
  • Develop and implement the unit business plan in partnership with Casualty Management ensuring clear alignment to growth and profitability objectives.
  • Analyse portfolio performance to identify profit opportunities address underperformance and take decisive action to improve results.
  • Drive premium growth by delivering new business retention rate and product growth targets.
  • Build and execute effective sales and marketing strategies across the broker market including prospecting account rounding and new business development.
  • Strengthen long-term relationships with brokers producers and insureds while identifying opportunities to expand Chubbs presence.
  • Ensure strong underwriting discipline quality and integrity including adherence to underwriting standards and achievement of audit score targets.
  • Lead motivate and develop a high-performing Casualty team including recruitment performance management training appraisals and retention.
  • Support a positive inclusive and safe workplace culture while helping team members grow in line with their strengths and career ambitions.
  • Manage expenses commission plans and service standards to ensure efficient use of resources and budget control.
  • Oversee broker service delivery feedback processes reporting and CRM activity to support strong stakeholder engagement and business performance.
  • Work closely with internal partners across claims technical services distribution and management to deliver the best outcomes for the business.




Qualifications

What youll bring to the role

  • Strong underwriting acumen and technical underwriting knowledge specific to Casualty
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships within the market in both WA/SA
  • A positive can-do mindset and willingness to adapt and respond to challenges

Desirable

  • Proven record of successful underwriting management of a portfolio of Casualty business
  • Proven record of successful growth of profitable specialty business through both new business and renewal growth
  • Experience in people management and staff development
