Brushcutting Operator

• Permanent full-time position (Monday Friday)
• Depot based in Dandenong South
• Full PPE & Uniform provided

As a member of the Brushcutting team you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing green spaces across the Dandenong Council working on various commercial sites or council-controlled roadsides and open spaces.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors has a keen eye for detail and takes pride in their work.

Responsibilities include:

• Servicing of council parkland and roadside assets across Nillumbik Shire Council
• Role will include brushcutting some herbicide application and light horticulture work
• Operate various equipment safely and efficiently.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on equipment.
• Ensure open spaces are maintained to a high standard.
• Assist with other groundskeeping tasks as needed.
• Adhere to safety protocols and procedures.

• Previous experience in landscaping gardening or a related field will be looked upon favourably.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects bend squat kneel and stand for extended periods.
• Must have a valid Manual Drivers licence
• Have a National Police Check & Working with Childrens Check (or willing to obtain)
• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions including heat cold rain and the sun.
• Strong work ethic and commitment to completing tasks efficiently and to the highest standards.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
