Rosebank College has a proud and varied history of over 150 years as part of the Good Samaritan family established in 1857 and belonging to the Benedictine spiritual and educational tradition founded by St Benedict in the 4th century. The College belongs to the community of ten schools across Australia called Good Samaritan Education (GSE). About the Role

A school of Good Samaritan Education Rosebank College is seeking applications for the position of Assistant English Coordinator (Permanent Full-Time 1.0 FTE plus one-point Coordinator Allowance) commencing Term 4 2026.

Reporting to the English Coordinator and working closely with the Dean of Learning the Assistant English Coordinator will support the leadership of a dynamic and high-performing English Faculty. This leadership role contributes to curriculum development teaching excellence staff collaboration student achievement and the ongoing implementation of College learning priorities.

The successful applicant will be an accomplished classroom practitioner with a demonstrated commitment to excellence in English education and the capacity to support colleagues in delivering engaging evidence-informed teaching and learning across Years 712.

The role provides an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher who is passionate about curriculum innovation student growth and collaborative leadership.

About You

The successful applicant will be an outstanding educator committed to supporting Rosebank Colleges continued academic excellence through innovative teaching and learning that inspire every student.

As a member of staff you will actively support the Colleges vision mission and values while contributing positively to all aspects of College life.

To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:

  • Extensive experience as a highly effective and innovative English teacher across Stages 4 5 and 6 with the capacity to support curriculum continuity by liaising with and contributing to Stage 3 English upon its introduction in 2027.
  • A minimum of three years at Proficient Teacher accreditation.
  • A proven commitment to improving student learning engagement and achievement.
  • The ability to contribute to the Colleges Curriculum Leadership Team (CLT).
  • Strong collaborative leadership and teamwork skills.
  • Demonstrated success in improving student outcomes.
  • The ability to use research evidence and data to inform teaching practice and curriculum improvement.
  • A sound understanding of and commitment to the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.
  • Highly developed skills in integrating contemporary technologies into teaching and learning.
  • The capacity to mentor and support colleagues while contributing to a positive faculty culture.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • An approachable collaborative and empathetic leadership style.
  • A current NSW Working with Children Check.
  • A demonstrated commitment to child safeguarding principles.
  • A willingness to support the Catholic ethos mission and learning culture of Rosebank College.
