Duration: Approx. 9 months with potential to extend
Pay rate: $67.70 to $88.94 per hour plus 12% superannuation
Citizenship requirements: Must be an Australian citizen or Permanent Resident at time of application
Overview
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Project and Procurement Officer to join a government organisation delivering major land development and urban infrastructure projects across the ACT.
Working within a collaborative project delivery team you will provide procurement and project administration support across a range of land development initiatives. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to high-profile projects that help shape sustainable communities while working in a supportive professional environment.
Responsibilities
- Support end-to-end procurement processes including coordinating documentation approvals meetings timelines and stakeholder input.
- Prepare manage and monitor consultant briefs contracts and project budgets.
- Draft reports briefing notes correspondence and operational planning documents.
- Maintain accurate project records and ensure compliance with record management requirements.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to support successful project delivery.
- Monitor project progress identify risks and escalate issues where appropriate.
- Provide general project and administrative support as required.
Experience/requirements
- Experience supporting procurement activities and project administration within a government or similar environment.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to prepare reports briefs and correspondence.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders.
- High attention to detail with the ability to identify risks and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
- Experience managing project documentation consultant contracts and budgets.
