The role

  • Part Time Continuing (28 hours)
  • Level 7 - $81136 to $88655 pa (plus 17% superannuation)
  • On site - Albury-Wodonga

As the Aquatic Laboratory Manager youll provide operational leadership for Charles Sturt Universitys Aquatic Laboratory ensuring the facility operates safely efficiently and to the highest professional standards. Working within the Gulbali Institute youll oversee the day-to-day management of laboratory operations supervise technical staff and coordinate the resources systems and services that enable cutting-edge aquatic research.

This is a unique opportunity to combine your technical expertise with leadership and project management skills in a collaborative research environment. Youll work closely with researchers industry government and university stakeholders to support innovative research programs maintain laboratory compliance and continuously improve the laboratorys capabilities as a nationally recognised aquatic research facility.

About you

  • Demonstrated expertise in aquatic systems recirculating aquaculture systems and laboratory infrastructure.
  • Proven ability to lead technical teams while coordinating multiple research projects and priorities.
  • Strong knowledge of laboratory compliance WHS risk management and quality systems.
  • An organised collaborative and solutions-focused professional who builds trusted relationships and delivers exceptional technical support.
  • Relevant qualifications and/or experience managing an aquatic or research laboratory.
