Job Summary
1st Year Distribution Lineworker Apprentice Salary - $79355 per annum (plus Super)

As a Distribution Lineworker Apprentice youll maintain and upgrade the poles and wires that power homes and businesses across the state. This isnt domestic electrical work its a unique trade that puts you at the heart of Tasmanias energy network.

Working towards a Certificate III in ESI Distribution Overhead (UET30521) youll:
- Learn both on the job and in the classroom
- Work alongside experienced Lineworkers and industry experts
- Develop practical skills using industry-leading equipment and technology
- Help maintain and build Tasmanias distribution network
- Receive ongoing support coaching and feedback as you develop your skills

To be eligible to participate in our Apprenticeship program you must have the ability to work towards completion of the relevant trade Certificate adhere to health safety and environmental practices in the workplace possess strong communication skills and be able to build positive relationships with peers leaders and our customers.
You will need to be physically fit and able to pass a pre-employment medical examination and hold a current provisional drivers licence by commencement date in February 2027.
You will need to have completed Year 12 and passed Maths English and preferably a Science subject OR have completed pre-vocational studies in Certificate II in Electrotechnology (or equivalent) OR have relevant work experience to be eligible.
Our Lineworker Apprenticeships are a 4-year commitment with a permanent role being offered within the region once you are a qualified tradesperson.
We have 2 roles based out of our Cambridge depot.
