Youll be part of Qantas Engineering working as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) within our Structures this hands-on role youll carry out structural maintenance repairs and modifications across a range of aircraft types with a strong focus on aircraft sheet metal work.

Your responsibilities will include inspecting repairing fabricating and installing aircraft structural components carrying out sheet metal repairs and modifications interpreting engineering drawings and maintenance manuals and ensuring all work is completed in line with safety quality and airworthiness requirements. Youll join a skilled team committed to delivering safe and reliable outcomes while supporting one of the most respected engineering operations in the aviation industry.

Eligibility Criteria

• Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Structures) or Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Mechanical) with significant aircraft sheet metal experience is mandatory
• Demonstrated aircraft sheet metal experience within the aviation industry
• Experience carrying out structural repairs and modifications on aircraft
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings maintenance manuals and technical documentation
• Strong commitment to safety quality and compliance standards
• High attention to detail and pride in workmanship
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Ability to work a rotating 4 days on 4 days off roster consisting of 2 day shifts and 2 night shifts
