IIQAF Group is seeking a compassionate reliable and patient-focused Aged Care Worker to join our healthcare team in Sydney. The successful candidate will provide high-quality personal care daily living support companionship and assistance to elderly residents and clients while promoting their dignity independence safety and overall wellbeing.
- Provide compassionate and respectful aged care and personal care to elderly clients and residents.
- Assist clients with activities of daily living including bathing showering dressing grooming toileting and personal hygiene.
- Support clients with mobility transfers walking positioning and the safe use of mobility aids.
- Assist with meals feeding hydration and monitoring dietary requirements as directed.
- Provide companionship and emotional support while encouraging social interaction and independence.
- Follow individual care plans and provide support according to each clients specific needs and preferences.
- Encourage clients to participate in appropriate activities that support independence wellbeing and quality of life.
- Respond appropriately to emergencies incidents falls or changes in client condition and report them promptly.
- Communicate professionally with clients families nurses healthcare professionals and other care team members.
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures and safe manual handling practices.
- Participate in care team meetings training and continuous improvement activities when required.
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing and Disability) Certificate IV in Ageing Support or an equivalent relevant qualification is preferred.
- Previous experience as an Aged Care Worker Personal Care Assistant Personal Care Worker Support Worker Care Assistant Aged Care Support Worker or Residential Care Worker is preferred.
- Ability to maintain client confidentiality and professional boundaries.
- Ability to work effectively with nurses healthcare professionals families and multidisciplinary care teams.
- Physically capable of assisting clients with mobility and performing manual handling tasks safely.
- Strong observation documentation organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts weekends evenings nights and public holidays when required.
