About the role
selectability is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional for leave coverage in the role of Acting General Manager Regional Development you will support the Townsville and Cairns regions from 28 August 2026 to 21 October 2026. This leave coverage role requires an individual with strong leadership skills strategic thinking and a commitment to improving mental health services.
The Acting General Manager will work closely with the executive team stakeholders and community partners to ensure that selectabilitys services are accessible innovative and align with the diverse needs of the regions.
About you
To be considered for this rewarding role you will have:

- ability to build and maintain relationships with employees stakeholders and community members
- excellent communication skills both verbal and written including presentation skills
- highly developed analytical problem solving and numerical skills including the ability to compile analyse data and prepare reports
- a demonstrated high level of attention to detail with a consistent approach
- a demonstrated ability to prioritise conflicting priorities as required
Role requirements
- relevant tertiary qualifications in psychology social work mental health or a related field (highly desirable)
- demonstrated experience in mental health NDIS and community services (highly desirable)
- a Child Safety & Personal History Screening check
- a Positive Notice Working with Children (blue card) (or the ability to obtain)
- a current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or the ability or obtain)
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module Quality Safety & You completion certificate (or the ability or obtain)
