The RoleWe are seeking an Accounts Receivable Assistant to join our Finance Department based in Thornton. As part of a small and supportive finance team you will play a key role in managing project financial administration job costings invoicing and accounts receivable functions across the business.
This role will have a strong emphasis on tracking project costs maintaining accurate financial records and supporting operational teams with financial data and purchase order management.
We are looking for someone who is proactive adaptable and able to work both independentlyand collaboratively.
This position is initially offered as permanent part-time working 3 days per week withflexibility available for school hours across 5 days for the right candidate. As MCA Engineering continues to grow the successful candidate must be willing and able to transition to increased hours including full-time work as operational demands and workload require.
Description of Role:
Processing high-volume accounts transactions using Xero and SimPRO
Managing job costings project financial tracking and financial data entry in Excel
Managing accounts receivable functions including invoicing reconciliations and follow-up of outstanding payments
Track client purchase orders throughout projects & requesting updated purchase orders when needed
Sending customer statements and following up clients for end of month payments
Liaising with customers and internal teams regarding invoices deliveries and account queries
Managing incoming phone calls and general administrative support using the 3CX phone system
Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the Finance team with ad hoc administration tasks as required
About you:
Must have at least 3 years experience in a similar accounts receivable role.
Experience with job costings and project financial administration
Experience in SimPRO
Strong working knowledge of Xero
Musthave accurate data entry this is a finance role accuracy with numbers is a must.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Motivation initiative and being a self-starter is a must as we are a busy team.
Effective communication skills both written and verbal.
Outstanding organizational skills.
Ability to manage time prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Able to work in a team environment and share workloads as the office is fast paced and ever changing.
Ability to pass a pre-employment medical
