About the Opportunity

As a trainee at Department of Customer Service in the Government Shared Services team you will learn how businesses keep track of money that is owed to them and support the finance team with day-to-day tasks.

You will:

• Check and manage team emails and help respond to customer enquiries.
• Help keep customer account information up to date.
• Check records to make sure payments and account balances are accurate.
• Assist with answering questions from customers about their accounts.
• Support the team in following up outstanding payments from customers.
• Maintain accurate records and organise financial information.
• Use computer systems and software to enter and update information.
• Build skills and knowledge in finance administration and customer service.
• Work as part of a team to help ensure accounts are managed efficiently.

These traineeships are funded through the Elsa Dixon Aboriginal Employment Grant which supports Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to access employment and career development opportunities within the NSW Public Sector.

Intern
