Planning Engineer

Our client is a leading organization delivering complex engineering and infrastructure projects across the region. To support project delivery and operational planning the company is seeking a Planning Engineer who can develop project schedules monitor progress and ensure projects are delivered within agreed timelines.

The Role

The Planning Engineer will be responsible for preparing maintaining and monitoring project schedules while providing planning support to project teams and senior management. The successful candidate will contribute to effective project execution through accurate planning progress monitoring and schedule analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed project schedules and work programs.
• Monitor project progress against approved baselines.
• Analyze schedule performance and identify project risks.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports.
• Coordinate planning activities with project managers and site teams.
• Update project schedules based on actual progress.
• Conduct critical path and delay analysis.
• Support resource planning and workload forecasting.
• Assist in preparing recovery plans where required.
• Maintain project planning documentation and reporting systems.
• Ensure compliance with project planning standards and contractual requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Civil Mechanical Industrial or Construction Engineering.
• 4 years of project planning experience.
• Strong knowledge of Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
• Experience working on engineering or construction projects.
• Excellent analytical and reporting skills.
• Understanding of project management methodologies.
• Strong communication and coordination abilities.
• Fluency in English is required.
