Painting Inspector – Offshore

Surface Preparation Inspection: Verify blasting cleaning and preparation of substrates in line with project specifications and NACE standards.

Coating Application Monitoring: Inspect application of primers intermediate and finish coats to ensure compliance with manufacturers data sheets and project requirements.

Environmental Condition Checks: Monitor temperature humidity dew point and surface conditions before and during coating application.

Quality Assurance: Ensure coating thickness adhesion and curing meet specified standards.

Documentation & Reporting: Maintain inspection records daily reports and coating logs for QA/QC compliance.

NonConformance Management: Identify coating defects (holidays pinholes blistering) issue NCRs and verify corrective actions.

Safety Compliance: Ensure safe handling of paints solvents and blasting equipment in line with HSE protocols.

Coordination: Liaise with contractors supervisors and QA/QC managers to resolve coating issues and ensure timely completion.

Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Civil or related engineering discipline.

Mandatory Certification: NACE Level II Coating Inspector.

Minimum 57 years of coating inspection experience with offshore oil & gas exposure preferred.

Strong knowledge of SSPC ISO ASTM and project coating specifications.

NACE Level II Coating Inspector (mandatory).

ISO 9001 Quality Management awareness.

Offshore survival training (BOSIET/HUET).

HSE training for hazardous materials handling.
