Lifting Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced Lifting Supervisor to oversee and supervise lifting and rigging operations at project sites. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring all lifting activities are carried out safely efficiently and in accordance with approved lifting plans company procedures and applicable HSE standards.

Candidates with offshore marine or oil & gas experience will have an advantage.

• Supervise and coordinate all lifting rigging and material-handling activities at site.

• Ensure lifting operations are conducted in accordance with approved lifting plans and procedures.

• Inspect lifting equipment accessories slings shackles spreader beams lifting beams and other rigging equipment before use.

• Ensure all lifting equipment is properly certified inspected and suitable for the intended load.

• Coordinate with Crane Operators Riggers Banksmen/Signalmen Site Supervisors and HSE personnel.

• Ensure safe positioning of cranes and lifting equipment before operations.

• Verify load weights lifting points center of gravity lifting capacity and ground/site conditions.

• Ensure proper communication and signaling during lifting operations.

• Stop lifting operations immediately in case of unsafe conditions or deviation from the approved lifting plan.

• Conduct toolbox talks and pre-lifting briefings with the lifting team.

• Monitor compliance with site HSE requirements and applicable lifting standards.

• Maintain lifting-related records inspection certificates checklists and documentation.

• Coordinate with project and construction teams to ensure lifting activities are completed as per schedule.

• Report unsafe conditions incidents near misses and equipment defects to the relevant management.

• Relevant experience as a Lifting Supervisor in Oil & Gas Marine Offshore Construction or Heavy Lifting projects.

• Valid TUV Certificate is mandatory.

• Strong knowledge of lifting operations rigging practices lifting equipment and load-handling procedures.

• Good understanding of lifting plans risk assessments method statements and permit-to-work procedures.

• Ability to supervise riggers banksmen/signalmen and crane operations effectively.

• Good knowledge of HSE requirements and safe lifting practices.

• Offshore / Marine / Oil & Gas experience is an advantage.

• Candidates must be immediately available or able to join at short notice.

• Good communication and coordination skills.

• Relevant technical certification or competency certification in lifting/rigging is preferred.

• Valid TUV Lifting Supervisor Certificate.

• Previous experience in offshore platforms marine projects shipyards oil & gas facilities or heavy industrial projects.

• Experience working with cranes heavy lifts lifting accessories and complex lifting operations.

• Qatar/GCC project experience is an advantage.
