Responsibilities

* Lead the design development and deployment of sophisticated artificial intelligence and machine learning models to solve complex business challenges.
* Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product managers and software developers to identify opportunities for AI integration and to define project requirements.
* Mentor junior engineers providing technical guidance and fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and professional growth.
* Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of AI projects from data acquisition and preprocessing to model training evaluation and deployment in production environments.
* Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI machine learning and deep learning and champion the adoption of new technologies and methodologies.
* Ensure the robustness scalability and performance of our AI systems conducting rigorous testing and optimisation.
* Communicate complex technical concepts and project outcomes effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

* A Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Artificial Intelligence Data Science or a related technical field.
* Proven commercial experience in a similar role with a strong portfolio of successfully delivered AI/ML projects.
* Expert proficiency in Python and extensive experience with major AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow PyTorch and scikit-learn.
* A deep theoretical and practical understanding of machine learning algorithms deep learning architectures natural language processing (NLP) and computer vision.
* Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g. AWS Azure Google Cloud) and deploying machine learning models at scale.
* Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
* Strong leadership qualities and excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.
