xEngineer Team Lead (Backend Oriented) for Viewer

As a Team Lead at Viewer youll lead the development of the infrastructure that renders 250 million Wix sites with the highest SLA and speed worldwide. Youll oversee the creation of one of the busiest Scala and services at Wix handling over 1 million RPM. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring our Server Side Rendering (SSR) processes are efficient and scalable. 

In your day-to-day you will: 

Lead the team responsible for managing all of Wixs public traffic (> 1 million RPM) 

Provide technical leadership to teammates through coaching and mentorship 

Design develop and lead major features 

Maintain high standards of software quality by establishing good practices and habits 

Identify and encourage areas for growth and improvement within the team 

Collaborate with various stakeholders to plan design develop test and maintain extraordinary features 

Solve challenging problems in complex business flows with creative solutions

Qualifications :

2 years of experience managing backend engineers 

Proven expertise in designing scalable distributed and efficient systems 

Passion for building high-quality software and ensuring production excellence 

Excellent communication skills to support thousands of engineers and foster collaboration 

Proactive attitude and eagerness to understand the why behind processes
