ملخص الوظيفة

INTECH Process Automation is seeking a seasoned Instrument Engineer to join our Operations & Maintenance (O&M) team. The Instrument Engineer shall provide field engineering and maintenance support for instrumentation and control systems within the assigned scope ensuring safe reliable and compliant execution of maintenance calibration troubleshooting repair replacement installation configuration loop checking and functional testing activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan coordinate and execute preventive and corrective maintenance for pressure temperature flow level analytical vibration position density interface water-cut metering and other field instruments.
  • Review Work Orders P&IDs loop drawings hook-up drawings datasheets tag information hazardous-area classifications maintenance history and applicable procedures before field activities.
  • Perform and review instrument calibration configuration loop checking and functional testing including as-found/as-left results tolerances calibration standards and test records.
  • Verify complete instrument signal paths between field devices and DCS SIS F&G PLC RTU/SCADA HMI and local indication systems as applicable.
  • Configure and troubleshoot smart/HART instruments including measurement parameters diagnostics communication and device status.
  • Troubleshoot instrumentation failures identify failure modes and root causes and recommend corrective and reliability improvements.
  • Maintain and test control valves shutdown valves actuated valves and valve accessories including positioners I/P converters solenoids limit switches regulators boosters and partial-stroke devices.
  • Perform stroke checks positioner calibration feedback verification solenoid testing air-leak checks response testing and partial-stroke testing as applicable.
  • Support inspection maintenance troubleshooting and functional testing of Wellhead Control Panels (WHCP) and associated shutdown valves field instruments control components and RTU/SCADA interfaces.
  • Perform maintenance calibration bump testing loop checking and functional testing of Fire & Gas (F&G) field devices including gas flame smoke and heat detectors manual call points beacons and sounders.
  • Ensure F&G testing is performed using approved test equipment certified gases and OEM procedures while properly controlling safety-critical inhibits bypasses and overrides.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot instrument air systems including compressors where assigned dryers receivers filters regulators drains headers tubing and pneumatic components.
  • Inspect and maintain instrument hook-ups impulse lines tubing manifolds fittings supports and weather protection ensuring correct materials ratings and installation practices.
  • Verify hazardous-area/Ex integrity including cable glands earthing ingress protection weatherproofing and field installation condition.
  • Prepare work packs calibration records test sheets inspection reports and CMMS/Work Order close-out documentation.
  • Ensure safety-related instruments and loops are tested in accordance with approved procedures and that bypasses overrides inhibits and forces are properly cleared before return to service.
  • Support commissioning start-up shutdown and reinstatement activities including loop checks and functional testing.
  • Identify recurring failures poor hook-up conditions and unsuitable instrumentation and provide improvement recommendations and reliability initiatives.
  • Coordinate with Operations Electrical Mechanical Control Systems HSE vendors and OEMs to resolve technical and maintenance issues.
  • Provide technical guidance to Instrument Technicians and junior personnel and ensure work is executed safely and in accordance with the procedures.

Requirements:

To Be Successful in This Role You Must Have:

  • Bachelors degree in Instrumentation Control Electronics Electrical Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant oil & gas petrochemical or process industry experience including at least 3 years in an Instrument Engineer or equivalent role.
  • Proven experience in field instrumentation maintenance calibration troubleshooting loop checking and commissioning.
  • Strong knowledge of pressure temperature flow and level instruments smart/HART devices calibration and metrology.
  • Experience with DCS SIS F&G PLC RTU/SCADA control and shutdown valves WHCP and associated field devices.
  • Knowledge of instrument air systems hook-ups tubing manifolds and impulse lines.
  • Knowledge of hazardous-area/Ex requirements including IEC 60079.
  • Competence in loop checking functional testing safety-related instrumentation troubleshooting and failure analysis.
  • Experience with CMMS Work Order management and technical documentation.
  • Ability to support reliability improvement and maintenance optimization activities.
