Full job description

The ELV Project Engineer is responsible for the planning coordination execution monitoring and successful delivery of Extra Low Voltage (ELV) projects ensuring compliance with technical specifications quality standards project schedules budgets and client requirements.

The role requires extensive experience in delivering integrated ELV and security systems projects including CCTV Access Control Systems (ACS) Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) Public Address Systems (PA) Structured Cabling Intercom Systems and Security Integration Platforms.

The successful candidate will work closely with Project Managers Consultants Design Engineers BIM Teams Clients Contractors and Commissioning Teams to ensure successful project delivery from initiation through handover.

The Senior Security Systems Design Engineer is responsible for leading the design coordination technical governance and delivery of integrated electronic security systems across large-scale complex and mission-critical projects.


This role serves as a senior technical authority within the Security Design & Engineering function providing leadership throughout the project lifecycle from concept development and security strategy through detailed design integration testing commissioning and operational handover.


The successful candidate will possess extensive experience in enterprise-level security systems and physical security design with proven expertise in developing and leading security solutions for Data Centers Critical National Infrastructure (CNI) Government Facilities Transportation Hubs Utilities Healthcare Facilities Commercial Developments and other high-security environments.


The role requires a highly experienced security engineering professional who can engage directly with clients interpret operational requirements translate Threat Vulnerability and Risk Assessments (TVRAs) into security solutions lead multidisciplinary design teams and act as the primary technical authority for security systems design.


This is not an IT engineering role. The successful candidate must possess deep expertise in physical and electronic security systems design and integration.

Key ResponsibilitiesProject Planning & Execution

  • Manage ELV project activities throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Review project specifications drawings contracts and technical requirements.
  • Develop project execution plans and resource allocation schedules.
  • Monitor project progress against milestones and deliverables.
  • Coordinate site activities to ensure timely completion.
  • Identify project risks and implement mitigation measures.
  • Support project budgeting forecasting and cost control activities.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and client expectations.

ELV Systems Delivery

Manage the installation testing commissioning and handover of:

  • CCTV Systems
  • Access Control Systems
  • Intrusion Detection Systems
  • Intercom Systems
  • Public Address Systems
  • Structured Cabling Systems
  • Gate Barrier Systems
  • Parking Management Systems
  • Visitor Management Systems

Ensure systems are installed according to approved drawings specifications and manufacturer recommendations.

Testing Commissioning & Handover

Coordinate and supervise:

  • Client Demonstrations
  • Training Sessions

Ensure successful commissioning and client acceptance.

Procurement & Vendor Management

  • Review and verify material requirements.
  • Support procurement activities.
  • Evaluate supplier technical compliance.
  • Coordinate deliveries and site logistics.
  • Monitor equipment lead times.
  • Resolve technical issues with vendors and manufacturers.

Quality Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with project quality standards.
  • Monitor installation quality and workmanship.
  • Ensure adherence to HSE requirements.
  • Support inspections and audits.
  • Maintain compliance with local regulations and industry standards.

Pay: E20000.00 - E60000.00 per month


Required Skills:

LV Technician Requirements Qualifications: Diploma or Technical Certificate in Electrical Electronics Telecommunications or a related field. Minimum 25 years of experience in ELV systems installation testing commissioning and maintenance. Experience in GCC/UAE projects is preferred. Technical Skills: Installation termination testing and troubleshooting of: CCTV Systems Access Control Systems (ACS) Intrusion Alarm Systems Video Intercom Systems Structured Cabling (Copper & Fiber Optic) Public Address (PA) Systems IPTV & SMATV Systems Gate Barrier & Turnstile Systems Time Attendance Systems Home Automation Systems (Preferred) Audio-Visual (AV) Systems (Preferred) Parking Management Systems (Preferred) Knowledge: Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings ELV shop drawings and wiring diagrams. Knowledge of cable routing containment systems cable tray installation and labeling standards. Experience with system testing commissioning and troubleshooting. Familiarity with ELV standards and safety regulations. Preferred Experience with Brands: LenelS2 Milestone Genetec Hikvision Dahua Axis Bosch Honeywell Suprema Gallagher Avigilon Cisco (Basic Networking) CommScope / Panduit Structured Cabling Soft Skills: Good communication skills. Ability to work independently and within a team. Strong problem-solving skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines. Willingness to work overtime or at different project locations when required. Responsibilities: Install and terminate ELV systems according to project drawings. Perform testing and commissioning of ELV systems. Troubleshoot and rectify faults during installation and after handover. Coordinate with engineers and project managers. Ensure work complies with company standards and client requirements. Prepare daily work reports and progress updates. Follow all HSE and site safety requirements. Preferred Certifications: UAE Driving License (Preferred) ECS / BICSI Certification (Preferred) Manufacturer Certifications (Lenel Milestone Genetec Hikvision Suprema etc.) are an advantage.
