About the Role

As the General Manager - Country Operations you will be the accountable leader for all manufacturing and delivery operations within the country. You will hold full P&L responsibility and own the complete Order-to-Cash (OTC) executionfrom order intake through to successful product delivery and revenue recognition.

In this senior leadership role you will drive operational efficiency optimize plant output and champion a culture of continuous improvement across all sites. While global commercial functions handle pricing and bid approvals you will be the driving force that translates confirmed orders into on-time on-budget and high-quality deliveries all while maintaining uncompromising standards for Health Safety and the Environment (HSSE).

Roles and Responsibilities

• Order-to-Cash Delivery: Lead the execution of all confirmed customer orders. Maintain schedule commitments resolve bottlenecks and serve as the primary operational interface for customers post-order.
• Manufacturing & Operations: Direct plant operations across all in-country sites to optimize production output equipment effectiveness (OEE) conversion costs and resource utilization. Ensure strict preventive and corrective maintenance.
• P&L & Financial Performance: Full ownership of the country P&L (revenue manufacturing costs SG&A). Develop CapEx plans drive cost-saving initiatives and ensure budget targets are met.
• Health Safety and Environment (HSSE): Take personal non-delegable accountability for site safety. Champion a proactive zero-tolerance safety culture conduct regular safety walks and ensure total compliance with local laws and global standards.
• Cross-Functional Leadership: Provide strong disciplinary leadership and foster alignment across all in-country teams including Operations Supply Chain Planning QHSE Project Management and support functions.
• Quality & Continuous Improvement: Drive Right-First-Time (RFT) performance and reduce non-conformances. Embed Lean daily management standard work 5S and structured problem-solving into daily operations.
• Supply Chain & Planning: Oversee the in-country Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process procurement execution warehousing and inbound/outbound logistics.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelors degree in Engineering Operations Management Supply Chain or equivalent field.
• Core Experience: Minimum of 5 years successfully managing a large manufacturing site or multi-site operation. (10 years of total experience in operations or manufacturing leadership is highly preferred).
• Financial Acumen: Proven track record of full P&L ownership in an industrial setting with a strong ability to interpret and act on financial statements.
• Industry Knowledge: Experience in Engineer-to-Order (ETO) or project-based manufacturing environments. A background in chemical composite or process industries is preferred.
• Methodologies: Lean / Six Sigma experience (Green Belt or above preferred) with practical expertise in operational excellence and Lean daily management.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP/MES systems as operational management tools.
• Leadership & Communication: Experience navigating global matrix organizations. Fluent in both spoken and written English.
