DevOps Engineer

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer with strong experience in AWS cloud services and Ubuntu/Linux administration to build maintain and improve our infrastructure deployment pipelines and system reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Design deploy and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS (EC2 VPC IAM S3 RDS CloudWatch etc.)

• Administer and troubleshoot Ubuntu/Linux servers in production environments

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions GitLab CI Jenkins etc.)

• Automate infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform CloudFormation Ansible)

• Monitor system performance availability and security; respond to incidents and outages

• Manage containerized applications using Docker and (preferably) Kubernetes

• Implement backup disaster recovery and high-availability strategies

• Collaborate with developers to optimize application deployment and performance

• Apply security best practices for cloud and Linux systems (patching hardening IAM policies secrets management)

• Maintain documentation for infrastructure processes and runbooks

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with AWS services and cloud architecture

• Strong experience managing Ubuntu/Linux servers (CLI networking systemd logs permissions)

• Experience with shell scripting (Bash) and at least one scripting language (Python preferred)

• Experience with CI/CD tools and deployment automation

• Knowledge of Docker and container orchestration concepts

• Experience with Terraform Ansible or similar automation tools

• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS TCP/IP firewalls load balancers SSL/TLS)

• Familiarity with monitoring/logging tools (CloudWatch Prometheus Grafana ELK etc.)

• Understanding of DevOps best practices version control (Git) and agile workflows

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Kubernetes (EKS) in AWS

• AWS certifications (e.g. AWS Certified SysOps Administrator Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer)

• Experience with security/compliance standards and hardening

• Experience supporting production systems with on-call responsibilities

Soft Skills

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• Good communication and collaboration across engineering teams

• Ability to work independently and handle production incidents calmly
