Support safe continuous production and gain hands on exposure to offshore plant operations. Employ Global is seeking Operator Assistants for a potential oil and gas assignment in Angola.

The opportunity

Support the safe operation and reliability of offshore oil and gas facilities working alongside maintenance and operations colleagues. These opportunities form part of an Angolan national recruitment programme. We encourage suitably qualified Angolan professionals to register their interest.

Your responsibilities

• Monitor plant conditions and security systems identify operational risks and follow site operating procedures.
• Support control of product quality and operating conditions and perform assigned first response security actions.
• Assist operations teams with plant activities including machinery start up and shutdown in coordination with the control room.
• Monitor work for compliance with site rules and assist with plant maintenance and optimisation.
• Contribute to P&ID updates operational documentation and knowledge sharing with colleagues.

What you will bring

• Completed technical studies at HNC HND or equivalent level.
• At least 2 years of experience in operations and process activities on petroleum facilities.
• Previous role preparation training of at least 3 months.
• General knowledge of mechanical electrical instrumentation and control systems.
• A practical approach to safety and the ability to work closely with operations and control room teams.

Assignment details

Location: Luanda Angola supporting offshore assignments. These are expressions of interest for a potential assignment subject to contract award and final client approval. Employment terms remuneration rotation start dates and mobilisation arrangements will be confirmed during recruitment. Any role-specific competency work authorisation and safety requirements will be explained before appointment.
